How long will I be at the hospital?

  • Plan to be at the hospital for approximately 4 hours for your appointment.
  • An intravenous (IV) line will be started in your non-fistula arm.
  • The actual fistuloplasty procedure typically takes about 1 hour.
  • You will then recover for approximately 2 hours in the Minor Procedures Unit.
